$140million for communities
This year 233 new community projects valued at more than $140million were approved by the nine Regional Development Commissions in a second round of funding.
The funding assists rural communities to attract investment, increase jobs and improve the quality of life.
In the Mid West 26 projects received a total of $3.69million, including the Eadon-Clarke Sporting Complex redevelopment, Mt Magnet Mining and Pastoral Heritage Museum and Northampton Community Centre redevelopment.
In the Wheatbelt 26 projects received a total of $3.12million, including the Kellerberrin Recreation and Leisure Centre development and the Centre for Agriculture and Farm Technology in Narrogin.
