The unveiling of a Family Sculpture and the interring of a time capsule marked 100 years of local government in Moora on 18 September 2009.
Premier Colin Barnett and I celebrated the occasion with visitors from the surrounding districts, past councilors, presidents, shire freemen, other politicians and school children.
As a former Deputy Shire President with a family farm in the district and grandchildren at a district school, it was a great opportunity to celebrate.
